Adult Art Classes  ~ 16+ Years

Classes are run during the Queensland school terms and include public holidays

Our Objective – confidence, creativity, and a love of art! 

Creative confidence through fun and experimentation, the way art should always be!

Class Structure

 

  • Classes give each student the freedom to discover their own unique artistry, by working at their own pace, on their choice of project, subject matter, and medium.

 

  • Classes allow for individual direction and creativity, with technical guidance including colour mixing, blending, composition, shading, shape, perspective, and proportions.

 

  • Classes cover foundational concepts while focusing on each student’s area of interest or by providing them with guidance while they discover their own area of interest.

 

  • Students supply their own materials to allow for individual choices for quality, or price of products.

 

  • Materials can include any 2D material for eg - Watercolour paint, Acrylic Paint, Oil Paint, Watercolour Pencils, Alcohol Markers, Ink, Posca Pens, Pastels, Charcoal, Graphite, Gel Pad Printing, or Collage.

Terms run over the 10 week public school term dates

Prices below are for a mid-term starting date

Class fees provide you with a space in a specific class slot for the duration of the term. Refunds, credit or make-up classes are not provided for non-attendance. No casual class options available. Spaces can't be held for a late commencement without full payment. Late term commencement is only possible if there is a space available at the time of commencement and is charged at an additional 10% of the term rate. Bookings are only confirmed once payment and registration has been received.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I start later in the term?

Absolutely, spaces can be held by paying for the full term in full and commencement can occur at your discretion. Or if a space is still available once the term has commencement, classes are charged at a discounted rate plus 10% of the term rate, these classes are not guaranteed.

 
​Do you offer casual or 1 off classes?

Unfortunately, we do not offer casual classes or trial classes. We do not provide make-up classes, refunds, or credit for attendance. ​​

What is a project?

A project is the work of art that you would like to working on. This can be any medium or subject matter of your choice.​

How do I get there?

Lilly-Lee Classes are held at the BVAC - Brisbane Visual Arts Community Studio. Please use 138 Weller Road, Tarragindi. We are situated beside Weller Hill State School.

What do I Bring for Adult Classes?

This will depend on what medium and subject matter you would like to work on. Definitely bring : Inspiration, reference image, or still life objects, old towel for artwork travel.

If you have it : Materials = Paint, gesso, brushes, palette knives, colour wheel, pencils, kneadable eraser, palette.

 

Can I buy supplies from Lilly-Lee?

Yes, we have available all the basics materials that you would need at affordable prices. You can buy individual items or a starter pack on arrival or purchase online.
