Exhibition 2010 - Brushstrokes

Lilly-Lee Gallery held its bi-annual exhibition of students and teachers work at the St. Joseph's Hall in Corinda in June, 2010. By all accounts, it was the most successful exhibition to date, with nearly 400 paintings on display and a door attendance of 639.

All visitors were asked to vote for their favourite adult painting and their favourite children's painting. The opening night was attended by nearly 300 people and was opened by Julie Attwood, the State Member for Mt. Ommaney, whose husband Ron, comes to our Wednesday afternoon group. Awards were presented and the band played providing a very special atmosphere.

Hi Lee and Paulette,

I can only imagine how very tired and exhausted you both must be feeling but wanted to let you both know that your efforts of the last weeks, especially this last weekend, are very much appreciated. Thank you from all the artists. The show looked spectacular and from conversations I had with visitors, many were surprised and impressed. It was particularly special to see the families and friends of exhibitors, both young and old, and the pride of these visitors as well as the artist. I personally witnessed some rather special moments. Thanks heaps!

Love
